It's summer before senior year, and I hope the new senior class is having the best summer break before returning to school for their finale year. I met up with Reid and his family at their home for his first senior session. It gave us a chance to photograph him with his sweet and furry friend Nika at home where she's most comfortable. I was so glad Reid and his family decided to do a session with Nika. There are so many things that mean home to us, and our fur babies are definitely one of them. Before your kids leave home, it makes a great memory to include some of the most special parts of their lives. I'd say that our pets and our very own homes count as some of our treasured memories. Reid got Nika to pose and with a little coaxing she relaxed and put those ears up for me. We weren't above bribes with treats and sticks to chew too. She really is a sweet girl and was fun to photograph.
Back to Reid, even though this was my first time to capture him on camera, we go way back to 4th grade when I was his teacher. I had the joy of teaching him and then a few years later, his younger brother too. I enjoyed catching up with him and hearing about his plans for senior year and beyond. He's well on his way for senior year. Congrats Reid and enjoy this final year ahead.
